Fancast--Watch TV Shows Online

Fancast
I love Greys Anatomy, Private Practice and Desperate Housewives. When I was pregnant I would lay around all day and watch my TiVo while on Maternity Leave. Then, when Dexter was born, TiVo was still my best friend. When we moved a few months later, DirecTV gave us an HD DVR. I, being a HUGE TiVo fan appreciated this new DVR but unfortunately, so did my husband. You see, I was the one who bought and paid for the old TiVo that we owned. He called it stupid and never used it. Well, well, look at who is obsessed with his DVR now! He records anything and everything. His queue is HUGE. Needless to say, some of my shows fell by the wayside. Desperate Housewives conflicted with Dexter, Weeds and other lovelies from Showtime and I just missed too many episodes.

Enter this new season of Greys and Private Practice. My DVR wouldn't record either show!! OMG, I was on vacation and had both shows up to queue and then NOTHING! I came home so excited for both premieres and then NOTHING but big fat disappointment. Eventually I got two weeks behind because like most of you, TV doesn't come first in my life. One day, when Dexter went to nap, I went online to abc.com so I could watch my shows. Much to my dismay, abc.com wasn't streaming. I thought for sure that the TV Gods just didn't like me! I went to google and typed in "Watch Greys Anatomy" I went to many sites but almost all of them rerouted me to abc.com like an affiliate. How dumb! Well, I finally found Fancast.

Fancast allowed me to enter the site, click Watch Full Episodes, Search for Greys, push Play and I was watching the show....JUST LIKE THAT!

* Fancast debuted in January 2008 and now has more than 10,000 hours of online video programming; with more than 60,000 videos available, including over 13,000 full-length shows (more are being added every day)

* Fancast is not only an agnostic online video site, aggregating tv content from more than 100 sources (including Hulu by the way), but Fancast has more TV extras than any other site including: movies, pictorials, blogs, listings, live chats and Q&A's with stars, and much more.

A site like this gives us (busy moms like you and me) the ability to watch some of our favorite shows whenever WE have time. There are limited commercial breaks but it’s not a whole block of them so personally, it doesn’t bother me at all. It’s a quick blip and back to the show. We’re all multi-tasking anyway so I don’t find it to be a distraction. Plus, that sponsor support is what keeps the site free so it’s understandable, right?

A couple other nice features of Fancast. While watching, you can make the screen full or have for your viewing pleasure. You can also send a particular clip via email, Facebook etc. Niiiiice.

I was impressed by Fancast because the site is clean/streamlined, you don't need to register and you can watch your shows within a minute of visiting the site. What are you waiting for, go catch up on your shows now.
