When I decided to call my December daily giveaways my I'm Dreaming of a Green Christmas campaign I had no idea that there was a book with the same name (by Anna Getty). Boy am I happy that I was emailed about this book by the publishers. I received my book just before Thanksgiving and I started drooling over the recipes and craft projects almost immediately. I love food. I love all food, especially damn good food. That is why this book won my heart.
My whole family seems to come together over food and lucky them that I made a new recipe for Thanksgiving appetizers! I brought Anna Getty's Gorgonzola and Grape Appetizer (forgive me for not having the exact name as my Mother In Law stole my book because she LOVES it!) Everyone freaked out over how great and simple the recipe was. Even Dexter liked it!! He is MY blue cheese boy ;)
I am still thinking about the prosciutto wrapped figs and the acorn soup!! Oh Lordy Anna Getty you nailed down my weak spot! I also adore the chandelier tree craft idea. Actually I LOVE THIS WHOLE BOOK A TON!!
Who is Anna Getty you ask? Well, Anna Getty is a leading green living expert. She works with the Organic Center, Global Green, NRDC, and Seventh Generation, among others, and is the author of the upcoming Easy Green Organic. Anna lives in Los Angeles.
NOTE: I’m Dreaming of a Green Christmas is printed on 100% post-consumer waste recycled paper with environmentally friendly ink.
This book is beyond awesome for any time of the year. It helps you learn how to be eco-smart and classy. Enter to win this amazing book by telling me one way you are green or want to be green for 2010.

I am green in many ways and am constantly trying to come up with new ways. One of my latest ways to be green has been to save the empty cereal box bags to collect trash that might smell badly in the kitchen trashcan, such as diapers, raw fish/chicken packaging, etc. This puts the bag to good use instead of tossing it out empty and potentially avoids wasting plastic bags by 1) not tossing another otherwise usable plastic bag into the landfill and 2) avoiding the need to take out the trash due to bad odors before the trashcan (garbage bag) is full.
Thanks for the chance to win! I love reading about green-living!
