I believe that what we put into our body is as important as what we put on our body. Well, they are both extremely important. I do believe in have a household that doesn't serve GMOs or HFCS. I am passionate about making sure Dexter is eating healthy whole foods. Me, well I was damaged a long time ago but I am also working on being a better eater. I love all fruits, veggies and such but it is making the decision to eat what Dexter does that lends to my downfall. Family dinners started to become a ritual and I am proud to say that Dexter, much like myself, loves spicy food, all veggies and fruits and fish. Actually there isn't really anything that I have found that he won't eat. Funny as it may seem, he chooses broccoli over cheese. He will eat homemade bechamel and what not but won't eat a hunk of cheese ;)
I am always on the look for organic herbs to use while cooking. A few months ago I came across Mountain Rose Herbs and I haven't looked back. They sell an amazing selection of herbs, salts and oils. My favorite brand that they carry is Epicurean Organics.
Enjoy the world's tastiest organic seasoning blends which we strictly make from the freshest and most flavorful organic spices from around the globe. What makes our line of Epicurean Organic seasonings so special is that farmers were given full negotiation rights in determining the prices they received for their harvests. This far exceeds traditional fair trade programs which is good for the growers and good for you! All of the Epicurean Organic seasoning blends made by Mountain Rose Herbs are completely free from irradiation treatment and are certified organic by OTCO and Kosher certified by Earth Kosher.
I was sent a bottle of the Himalayan Pink Salt, Herbs De Provence and Thai Curry Blend. They also included a bottle of Epicurean Organic's Organic Olive Oil.

My Thoughts?
*First and Foremost, Mountain Rose Herbs supports Fair Trade and all their products are 100% certified organic and kosher ~HUGE PLUS~
*Their products are very affordable. When I go to the store and pick up McCormick spices I don't know where they came from, what pesticides were used in their growing process and I pay the same as I do through MRH! Well thats a no brainer.
*Mountain Rose Herbs is a zero wate company! You certainly don't see that everyday!
The Himalayan Pink Salt was delicious. I use Kosher salt all the time anyway so bigger crystal salt is no stranger in my house. I like that this salt contains over 84 trace elements including iron (thus the color). I found it to be delicious and not too strong at all. 4.5 oz. sells for $4.75
The Thai Curry will be perfect when I make my Tofu and Beef Curry but I have not had the time to prepare it yet. I was taken aback by the fact that the herbs were large and not all finely ground like most curries that I am familiar with. The smell of the herbs is intoxicating and I will let you know how my curry turns out! 1.4 oz. retails for $4.50
The Organic Olive Oil was so delicious compared to the brand that I typically buy. I spend a lot on my olive oil too. The flavor was not very strong and it was light. It is cold pressed which I believe to be important. 8.5 oz. retails for $6.50
The Herbs de Provence makes a nice touch to garlic bread. I sprinkled a little on each piece of garlic bread I made and everyone, including Dexter gobbled it up. You can also use it in French cooking. Think Julie and Julia :) 1 oz. retails for $4.50
How would you like to win each of the products that I reviewed? I know you would! Just head over to Mountain Rose Herbs and tell me one (or more) things that you would like to buy from them? I would actually love to have their Garden Sign- Pesticide Free Area...a great twist on the usual little flags marking a property that has just been doused with chemicals. This sign would be great for spreading awareness that pesticides don't have to be the way to go! Thanks!
