FlipHD Review

I have officially been Flipped! That is, flipped from my original camcorder (that shall remain nameless) to the new Flip Mino HD.

When I got my Flip Mino HD I was surprised by how compact and innovative the camera is. My favorite feature is the built-in USB port. It flips (no pun intended) out of the top of the camera and plugs right into your computer. There are no extra cords/plugs to lug around----pure genius!!
The Flip Mino HD also features a 2 inch display and shoots in 1280x720 video resolution. That means that you will get a sharp picture that looks like it was professionally shot---it was, by YOU!

With the (included) Flipshare software you are able to do the following:
*Save, Organize, & edit videos with ease
*Capture HD snapshots from your videos
*Email videos & video greeting cards
*Upload videos directly to MySpace and YouTube
*Create custom movies with your own music
*Upgrade for free at www.theflip.com/support
*Create Flip Channels to share content privately with groups of friends or family or to access your own content on the web
*Order DVDs and have them shipped anywhere in the world

Here is a short video (one of a thousand) that I took of Dexter eating his lunch. He is getting so good at it.

video

The Flip Mino HD also holds up to 2 hours of footage and it is also super easy to playback your movies. You can effortlessly (with one finger) turn on the camera, push the play button and watch. It is THAT easy!!

You can purchase the Flip Mino HD online or at Walmart for the perfect price of $229.99

Dexter and Mommy's First Trip to the Beach

To preface this post. I had gotten D all ready to go to the beach (about 5 miles down the road from our house) and he was wearing his pimpin TCP trunks and a swim top a friend of mine got him. He looked so cute. He was also donning a swim diaper from Pampers. Well, he decided that he had to poop before we left and Mommy was blindsided. I had no idea that swim diapers do not contain excrement, they only keep water out. We had a HUGE mess on our hands. Luckily, that same awesome friend of mine, Becky, gave me a few swim trunks for Dexter too. I went and got some Nemo trunks and grabbed his hat before we left. Dexter has about 4 or 5 sun hats but for some reason, this red one is the only one he will keep on his head. As we were headed there all I could think was please, please let me now run into anyone I know. Lucky for me, we didn't.

Here my child is dressed in multi-colored swimming trunks, an orange/brown top and a red and white flowered hat! He looks like a huge fashion faux pas. I also wanted to point out that I took my One Step Ahead Family Beach Cabana Tent and set it all up by myself! It didn't hurt that Elmo kept Dexter entertained in the car before and after the excursion!

Free Ecards and Printable Cards

I know you have all seen my write about Free Ecards before. Not only are you able to send Free Ecards to your friends and family but they also offer Free Printable Cards too. How many times have you looked for a website that allows you to either Print a free card or send a Free Ecard only to find that you need to jump through hoops or make a gazillion registrations in order to do so? I know I am not alone.

For Mother's Day, I sent my Mom a Free Ecard. For Father's Day, you guessed it, I sent Dad a Free Ecard. They also have Free Birthday ECards.

I recently needed to make a card for my niece's birthday. Without hesitating, I went to Got Free Ecards and I made her a photo card. It was very easy to make. You can also add an .mp3 attachment to the card so you can personalize it with a song or a greeting! How awesome!! You should have seen my niece when she opened her card and found a picture of herself along with Dexter. She ran around showing everyone the card because she was so excited about it. I could have gotten away without buying her a present because she loved the show-stopping card so much!

Next time you need to celebrate an occasion, look no further than Got Free Ecards. They have everything you need to show someone that you care about just how much you do care!

Nu Skin Father's Day Review and Giveaway

Nu Skin, the premium skin treatment and personal care company, offers an array of products perfect for all budgets and all different kinds of Dads.

My awesome husband, who never gets to do a review of his own, was sent the Nu Skin for Men Dividends® Complete Set.

The set includes DividendsTM Shave Cream which gently removes dirt and oil and optimizes razor glide for a clean, smooth shave that protects your skin from dryness, chaffing, minor nicks, and irritation and DividendsTM Aftershave Balm which makes facial hair softer, finer and less noticeable so you can skip a shave without people noticing. It also provides traditional benefits like preventing razor bumps, and cools and soothes the skin. The set also comes with DividendsTMAntiperspirant Deodorant which captures and eliminates existing and future odor molecules. This micro fine antiperspirant works overtime, delivering advanced wetness and odor protection.

The first item my husband tried was the Dividends Antiperspirant Deodorant. He is not a fan of the white stick type which is what this one is. Other than that, I asked him what he thought about it. He had just finished a 26 mile bike ride and he asked me to smell his pit. I laughed but did it in the name of honest reviewing! Let me just tell you this, his armpits smelled fresh, not like he just got done working out! I was amazed. So much so that I used the deodorant myself this weekend when I was working out and I had dry, clean armpits afterward! I have never had the same results using other deodorants in the past.

Nest Jason used the Dividends Shave Cream and Aftershave Balm. He liked how smoothly he was able to shave using the cream. It has an exfoliator in it so it not only helped him to get a close shave but also helped make his face very soft. It was almost as soft as Dexter's butt :) The smell is not overly strong at all and it was pleasant. Jason liked it more than I did (probably because I am in to strong scents).

Overall, my husband really liked the each product in the Complete Set. It retails for $42 Dividends® Complete Set retails for $42.28 and can be purchased at www.nuskinusa.com

Thanks to the generous people of Nu Skin, your favorite man can also own a whole Dividends Complete Set made by Nu Skin. All you have to do is tell me who you will give this set to and what these products would be replacing for him. Don't forget to include your email address!!

Fairytale Brownies Father's Day Review and Giveaway

If we are being honest here, I need to tell you that I broke my diet in order to review Fairytale Brownies. It was all in the name of blogging and honesty and I didn't eat a ton, I promise! But die I did. Die as in go-to-heaven-and-still-can't-believe-I-can-type-this kind of die. These brownies are magical and so indulgent.

I received the Fairytale Sprite Dozen with Cashews.

This exquisite gift box comes neatly packaged as you can tell from the above pictures. It took everything in me not to rip the package to smitherines because I was dying for chocolate but I had to tell myself to slow down, take a deep breath and take some pictures.

The Fairytale Sprite Dozen with Cashews features one dozen Sprites (smaller brownies that can be eaten in about 4 good bites). The Sprites in this Father's Day gift box include the following flavors: Original, Caramel, Chocolate Chip, New! Cream Cheese, Espresso Nib, Mint Chocolate, Peanut Butter, Pecan, Raspberry Swirl, Toffee Crunch, Walnut and White Chocolate.

I really enjoyed all of them but my favorites were the Caramel, Peanut Butter and Toffee Crunch. If I was to go to a desert (not dessert) island and could only bring one thing, it would be Fairytale's Toffee Crunch brownie!

I also really love cashews so that helped make this gift a total winner. The only thing that I would have liked was for the cashews to be more salty. They were barely salted and salty/sweet definitely works for me!!

Thank you to the super awesome people over at Fairytale Brownies for offering one Dexter's Super Savvy Mommy reader the opportunity to win this awesome The Fairytale Sprite Dozen with Cashews. All I ask you to do is head over to their website and pick out your favorite gift from their vast assortment of goodies. ALSO tell me what you think your favorite flavor will be and don't forget to include your email address!

Johnson and Johnson's Cause Party

I have had several of you ask me lately what a Cause Party is. Well, watch this video and Ashanti will tell you all about it
Ashanti's Cause Party Video

One Sunday, June 14th, I had 20 friends over and we ate amazing food, thanks to my great friend Breanne and we drank some awesome Sangria. I choose a local charity to support that helps to support Domestic Violence. They have a shelter and a resale store that all of the profits help to fund their women empowerment classes and shelter.

Johnson and Johnsons was nice enough to send a gift bag for each of my guests. The bags each contained one full size lotion and body wash from J&J;'s newest line. The products were either the new 24 Hour or the Be Radiant. Wow! They both smelled lovely! I couldn't decide which scent I wanted to keep for myself! I ended up choosing the 24 Hour.

If you would like to find out more about Johnson and Johnson's newest product line for 2009 head on over to their MySpace page. You can also learn more about how to host a Cause Party of your own.

Here are a few pictures from my party. We had women coming and going all afternoon so all the ladies were never there at the same time. It was perfect. I set the food out for each new group of ladies that came and I had enough to go around! I know you are jealous and wish you could have been here! Thanks to Johnson and Johnson's for giving me the pleasure to share their amazing new products with my friends all while helping to support a cause that is worthy of support!

And toward the end of the party, Daddy brought Dexter to see the ladies because so many complained that they missed him!

Boy Oh Boy!

Yesterday I hosted a Cause Party sponsored by the wonderful people at Johnsons and Johnsons. I had a blast and almost 20 of my friends came and partied. I almost forgot to take pictures because I was having such a great time. I am recharging my camera now and when its ready, I will share pictures with you all today!!

One Step Ahead Family Beach Cabana Tent Review and GIVEAWAY!!

You all know One Step Ahead. They send out those amazing catalogs filled with items for kids and families that make you drool. Yeah, now you remember! I have been getting their catalog for sometime now and there are always at least 10-15 items in there that I would love to have!

One of those items is the Sun Smarties Family Beach Cabana Tent. This tent is so awesome. OMG and I so excited that I got to review it and I am even more excited that one of my readers will have the chance to win one for their family!!

The Sun Smarties Family Beach Cabana Tent is the perfect accessory for a family to take to the beach. It not only is super easy to open and set up but it is even easier to collapse. What I really like about the Family Beach Cabana Tent is the fact that you can anchor it down with the provided anchors or you can fill the side "pockets" with sand to weigh it down.

The tent itself folds up into a small circle (think windshield protector) that fits into the accompanying carrying case.

In this picture you can see the bright colors and the nice Hawaiian print.

The back of the carrying case has straps that allow you to carry it like a backpack. It also has a top strap for easy carrying. (Like my toes? The color is My Chihuahua Bites by Opi)

It probably took me a total of about 4-5 minutes to open the tent up, stake it down, open the zippers and tie the doors and windows back. It is super easy. I wouldn't do it alone with Dexter because he would be jumping all over him so it would be important to have another adult or older child with you if you have an infant.

I set the tent up in my yard because my husband is at work and Dexter was napping (peaceful!) Look at how it looks all shut up. This creates privacy that would allow children and adults to change into/out of swimsuits.

In this side view you can see the canopy on the front. It zips so it looks like it does in the picture and it also unzips so you can fold the tent up with ease.

Next, I unzipped the front and the back so you could see right through it. Another thing I really like about this tent is the fact that there is no bottom on it. This allows babies and small children to be protected by the sun (thanks to the tent's unbeatable UPF 50+ rating) and play in the sand at the same time.

Next, I opened the side windows and tied them up for better ventilation. When the windows are shut, they stay shut thanks for two velcro tabs.

Here is a view of the windows from the inside. The mesh is nice because it allows for air flow but it also keeps debris and bugs out!

Finally, I laid down inside my retreat, I mean tent. As I laid there, I looked up and noticed some more ventilation.

Sitting in my tent, alone, was a glorious way to spend some much-needed Mommy quiet time. I would have left it up all day but then I figured I would have to take it down later tonight and that wasn't very appealing. Here are a few pictures that I took while inside the Sun Smarties Family Beach Cabana Tent. We have a gorgeous view of Lake Michigan on this side on my house but my neighbor's house does a nice job of blocking it from where I was laying!

The Sun Smarties Family Beach Cabana Tent measures 86½"L x 49¼"D x 47¼"H and it retails for $79.95 plus shipping. That is an incredible deal seeing as you can use with with or without the kids at the beach. Think how nice it would be to take your favorite somebody to the beach, alone, and you could set up your cooler and accessories in the tent and zip it up before heading in the water. After your swim you can relax in (or out) of the tent. One thing is for sure. Your possessions remain in the tent and out of other people's view and your cooler stays cold :)

One lucky winner will be able to win this gorgeous Sun Smarties Family Beach Cabana Tent thanks to the super generous people at One Step Ahead.

In order to win, please head over to One Step Ahead and do two things (this is one heck of a prize so a little work is worth it!)
*Pick out your favorite Sun Smarties product they carry and tell me what it is and why.
*Pick your other favorite products and come back here and let me know what they are.

Go Green at Garden Family Hootenanny

DETROIT - There’s wonder to be found through the garden gates this summer during the Garden Family Hootenanny, 3-5 p.m. Sunday, July 12, 2009 at The Whitney. Seeds of music will be sown in the beautiful gardens of the historic restaurant with live performances by the Mydols and Cello-Bella!, a Music Together demonstration, and plenty of fun for children of all ages. As parents dig into food and drink in the outdoor cafe, kids will discover bubbles, games and crafts along the garden path.

A “hootenanny” is defined as a social gathering or informal concert featuring folk singing and dancing. The Garden Family Hootenanny is the latest in a series of Hootenanny concerts and CDs organized by Mydols lead singer April Boyle to celebrate music both children and parents can enjoy.

Since 2001, Detroit Family Hootenannies have brought together talented musicians to jam with full audience participation. Acts have included Dan Miller, Pas/Cal, The Sirens, Loretta Lucas, Jawbone and Liz Mitchell. The concerts gave rise to two critically-acclaimed compilation CDs, Detroit Family Hootenanny: Detroit Folks Playing Old and New Music for Kids in 2006, and Holiday Hootenanny in 2007.

This year’s entertainment includes all-mom band the Mydols, who get kids to join in on songs like Run Crazy Baby and 3. Cello-Bella! will play family faves like On the Good Ship Lollipop and You’ve Got a Friend in Me on cello and acoustic guitar.

Melissa Bila Regan of Harmony and Me and Merrily Gechter of Music Together with Merrily will share musical instruments and lead kids through a sample of the early childhood music classes they lead in Birmingham, Plymouth and Canton.

The Whitney will provide garden fare, cocktails and mocktails for purchase.

The Garden Family Hootenanny is sponsored by ecostore USA, provider of eco-friendly cleaners, bath, body and baby care items at www.ecostoreusa.com.

The Garden Family Hootenanny will take place at the Whitney Restaurant, 4421 Woodward Ave., Detroit, 48201, http://www.thewhitney.com/. Doors open at 2:30 p.m. Admission is $10 for parents; free for children 12 and under. Call Emily Driscoll to reserve your spot at

Sick of Being Flabby

A few weeks ago I decided that enough was enough. I need to lose this extra 50ish pounds once and for all. What better reason than my 10 year high school reunion this fall! Well, last week I worked out AND dieted every day. I took yesterday off from working out because my muscles were fatigued.

Come to find out that my 10 year reunion is the same day as my brother-in-law's wedding down in Florida. So now I am calling it my BIL wedding shape up! I am going to wear a cute strapless dress (and look good in it) even if it kills me!

I took my measurements and a few fat pictures and now I can't look back. Do you have any advice for me? Keeping it fresh and interesting? Good low carb recipes you want to share?

Here is my favorite low carb recipe that I can't get enough of! (this was written by a dear friend of mine. Who would have guessed she teached English to middle schoolers LOL)

Spaghetti Squash Pizza
Cut in half lenghthwise 1 med-lg spaghetti squash.

Remove seeds.

Add 1Tbsp water to each half.

Microwave until tender (6-8 min.)

Scoop out strands into mixing bowl.

Add 2-3 eggs amd 2C. parmesan and mix.

Spread evenly onto pregreased pan.

Bake at 400 degrees for 45 minutes.

Add toppings and bake until cheese is golden brown.

What Home Means to Me

Recently Twittermoms asked me to think about what Home Means to Me. Well, to me, home is a place of security and comfort. It is a place that I tend to always want to me. When I am home I am surrounded by my family and with all of my possessions that help me to feel good after a long day at work.

As cliche as it is, Home is Where the Heart is. When I am not at home, I yearn to go and when I am there, sometimes I just want to get out. Its just pretty ironic. I call a small town in Northern Michigan home and I could not be in a nicer place. The streets are safe, the topography is gorgeous and the area is rich in history. As far as I am concerned, it doesn't get any better than this!

After you have enjoyed a cocktail on my porch with me, head on over to Twittermoms and see what all the fun is about!!

Serena and Lily Market Sling Review

When Dexter was little I loved wearing him around the house and when we were out and about. I really wish I would have found the Market Sling by Serena and Lily sooner. The strap is padded which makes the sling very comfortable. Not only is the Market Sling very comfortable to wear, it is also made from 100% organic cotton! The inside features super-soft brushed 100% organic jersey cotton which is gentle against baby's sensitive skin.

Nicole Kidman and Camila Alves have been seen wearing their babies in Serena and Lily's Market Sling. Look at how posh Nicole Kidman looks:

The Market Sling comes in a variety of colors and each is hand-embroidered for a look of elegance. I reviewed the Green/Marigold and I love how vibrant and rich the colors are! I cannot say enough about how wonderful this opulent sling is.

It is also easy to care for!
To clean: Machine wash cold, line dry. Warm iron if necessary.
Sizing: Sling size is more about torso length than height. To be exact, measure your hip-shoulder circumference using a measuring tape. Put the measuring tape over one shoulder, and join the ends together on the opposite hip, about 1″ above your hip bone, like a beauty pageant sash.

This Serena and Lily sling carries a price tag of $129. It is not something that every mother can afford but it is definitely a splurge that is worth every penny. The construction of this sling is so sturdy that it would easily work for 2 if not more children. If you use it for 2 kiddos then it is really only about $65 per child. That makes it an even better deal.

My poor baby has been running a fever between 101 and 105 since last night. It was 105 from 6pm until 11pm last night and he has been a lethargic mess!

We went for his 15 month check up today and they couldn't do anything but tell me that he has no ear infection and she think he "might have the flu on top of teething". Those canines are a pain in the ass!! We haven't really had teething problems up until this point

If he is not sleeping he is screaming. I don't know what to do for him
Daddy came home and finally calmed him down. This is what I found when I heard the crying had stopped (after almost an hour)

Dr. Greene Vitamin and Book Review and Giveaway

On Sunday I told you things were going to start picking up on here again! Its about time! Some of my readers have won gift certificates and some have won beauty products. Today I would love to make you beautiful from the inside out. I was given the amazing opportunity to review Dr. Greene's Vitamin line and his new book, "Raising Baby Green."

Raising Baby Green is an illustrated and easy-to-use guide, noted pediatrician Dr. Alan Greene, a leading voice of the green baby movement, advises parents how to make healthy green choices for pregnancy, childbirth, and baby care—from feeding your baby the best food available to using medicines wisely. Consumer advocate Jeanette Pavini includes information for making smart choices and applying green principles to a whole new universe of products from zero-VOC paints for the nursery, to pure and gentle lotions for baby’s delicate skin, to the eco-friendly diapers now in the marketplace, as well as specific recommendations for hundreds of other products.

I wish I would have had this book when I was pregnant with Dexter because it had all of the information in it that I spent hours on the internet searching for. I am going to bring it to work and give it to a friend of mine who is expecting. I know she will appreciate it.

As far as the supplements, I received some amazing products. These are also all of the supplements that the winner will receive!

1. Prenatal Vitamins (complete multivitamin & mineral supplement for expecting and breasting mothers).
2. Omega-3 with EPA and DHA (supports improved mood and baby’s brain & eye growth).
3. Healthy Bone Formula (which calcium, magnesium & vitamin D).
4. Children’s Chewable Multivitamin/Mineral (a good source of calcium for ages 4 and up) - orange flavor.
5. Children’s Chewable Multivitamin/Mineral (a good source of calcium for ages 4 and up) - berry flavor.
6. Toddler Drops (multivitamin with DHA for ages 1-3 years old. DHA is found in breast milk and helps enhance brain and eye development).

I, myself, have been taking the Prenatal Vitamin and the Healthy Bone Formula for a few weeks now. I think that it is essential for any woman, pregnant or not, to get all of the Vitamin D and Calcium that her body needs. I use to drink a lot of milk but because it is so calorie-rich, I have had to subdue my cravings. Taking Dr. Greene's Healthy Bone Formula gives me peace of mind that I am doing what I need in order to get my body back into post-baby shape! The Prenatal Vitamin is also wonderful. I have noticed that it makes me more energized than my old prenatal use to.

The toddler drops! Ingenious! I am so glad that I found a product that Dexter doesn't mind taking. His pediatrician said, and I agree, that it is important for Dexter to take a multivitamin because he is no longer breastfed and he doesn't eat a perfect diet. He is a toddler after all! The drops are convenient and as far as I can tell, tasty!

DrGreene™ Prenatal Vitamin-Specifically formulated with 22 nutrients for the unique needs of women who might conceive or are already pregnant or lactating.
DrGreene™ Pre/Post Natal Healthy Bone Formula-A blend of calcium, magnesium and vitamin D at the right ratios helps cover the demands of what the baby takes from the mother’s system for development and growth.
DrGreene™ Pre/Post Natal Omega-3-Incredibly important for healthy development, our micro-distilled Omega-3s supply a blend of DHA (to support baby’s brain and eye growth) and EPA (for healthy joint function and cardiovascular health).
DrGreene™ Toddler Drops-This unique liquid multivitamin fills a common gap in many children’s nutritional development - after breastfeeding, but before they can take a chewable multivitamin/mineral. Infused with life’sDHA™, a plant-derived form of DHA found in breast milk and all quality infant formulas, this formula provides many of the nutrients required for this especially demanding time of developing body and mind. For ages 1-3 years.
DrGreene™ Children’s Chewable Multivitamin/Multimineral -Packed with vitamins and minerals, these chewable tablets provide a healthy way to get the nutritional insurance children need without the artificial flavors, colors, added preservatives or sweeteners found in many of the “cartoon” vitamins on shelves today. Orange and Berry flavored. For ages 4 and up.

Thank you to the wonderful people at TwinLab and to Dr. Greene himself, one lucky winner will be able to win all of the supplements listed above and a copy of Dr. Greene's book "Raising Baby Green" All you have to do to win is tell me what vitamins/supplements your family is currently taking and why you think it is important for your family to take vitamins/supplements. If you are not taking anything right now just make sure you have a good reason as to why not ;)

Baby Bjorn Potty Chair Review and Giveaway

As a mother of a 15 month old I dream of the days when Dexter will be able to go potty on his own. I thought that I would get a jump start on this adventure by not only getting him a Potty Chair and reading him books about going on the potty. I also thought that if Dexter saw the potty in the bathroom that he would be familiar with it and it wouldn't be a scary experience when it was time to lose the dipes for good!

I was fortunate to be able to review the Baby Bjorn Potty Chair. What I love about them are their bright, bold colors and the fact that it is really easy to empty it's contents. The Potty Chair also features a really high splash guard and those of you with boys know how important that is! I really don't want to have to stand guard with my EcoStore USA Citrus Spray Cleaner every time Dexter is going potty. For the record, I'd rather have a camera in my hand!!

Here are a few pictures of Dexter's Potty Chair:

Baby Bjorn also happens to make a Little Potty. Seeing this potty reminds me of a very funny story involving my niece, having to poop and being on the highway and a paper bag. I will not elaborate because I would hate to embarrass her because this was years ago but if she had a potty like the Little Potty she wouldn't have had to be embarrassed! This Little Potty would be great for car rides, camping trips or simply for traveling. Maybe you have a smaller bathroom downstairs and need something a little smaller. This Little Potty would be perfect.

How would you like the opportunity to win a Baby Bjorn Potty Chair for yourself? Thank you to the generous people at Baby Bjorn you will now have the opportunity. All you have to do to enter is head over to Baby Bjorn and pick out your favorite color Potty Chair. Come back here and tell me which color you would like to win and include your email address so I can contact you if you are my lucky winner.

Funky Monkey Snack Review

I was just having a discussion with some of my Mommy friends and we were discussing snack foods for our babies. They asked what new foods each baby is now eating. I almost had forgotten Funky Monkey snacks! How could I? They are freeze-dried fruit that contains no added sugar, preservatives or high-fructose corn syrup! The freeze drying helps to preserve all of the natural vitamins/minerals in the fruit so they are just as wholesome as fresh fruit.

Dexter got to try the Bananamon (Cinnamon Sprinkled Bananas), Jivealime (Lime Pineapple), Carnival Mix (pineapple, mangoes, papaya, raisins, apple, banana) and Purple Funk (Banana and Acai). Dexter seemed to love the pineapple the best and the Bananamon was a huge hit too. I don't care for freeze-dried fruit myself but he loved all of the flavors. I like them because there are 3 servings of fruit in each bag and they are nutritious. They are also gluten-free, wheat-free and dairy-free. Talk about healthy snacking!

You can buy them at Amazon.

Wondertoast Review

Who doesn't love quirky and fun clothing? I am guilty of both fun and quirky clothing, especially when Dexter is the one wearing them! I also really love putting him in organic clothing because, for some reason, I still don't think that chemicals in dyes and prints are safe no matter what the experts say. Some people question me by saying "you have been wearing non-organic clothing for your whole life and you turned out fine". I always reply with this Darwinistic response "Dexter is still a blank slate and I take pleasure knowing that his body is free of toxins and chemicals.

A few months ago I found a wonderful company called Wondertoast. Meet Wondertoast....he is not a Superhero with superpowers but if he were his superpower would be curiousity. WonderToast wonders about everything around him and he loves to help kids learn along with him!

Wondertoast was created by Anna Woltz. She is a mother, illustrator and self proclaimed foodie. Anna use to work at Nickelodeon and Fox Kids so she knows a thing or two about illustration/animation. Let me tell you what drew me in to Wondertoast.

Look at the fun graphics on their organic shirts:

The onesie that Dexter received is the "D is for Dim Sum" which I also call "D is for Dexter". I have washed the shirt at least a dozen times and it has not faded once! It is so soft and it doesn't pill either. It is definitely a quality shirt. I love how bright the colors are and I appreciate that the shirts are dyed using low-impact, azo-free dyes. The shirt (12-18months) was big on Dexter for quite a while so I had to wait for him to fit into it......here are the pictures you have been waiting for! I wish he would have had his eyes open because the look on his face is precious...

Head over to Wondertoast and see for yourself how unique and sweet their site (and clothing) is. If you make a purchase and tell Anna in the comment section of your paypal payment that you are a "Dexter Fan" she will include a signed copy of her Wondertoast comic book for you! Sweet eh?!
