Rock of Ages CD Review

Thanks to One on One, I was able to preview the most catchy CD I've heard in a while---The Rock of Ages.
New Line Records just hammered the in-store release of the Original Broadway Cast Recording of five-time Tony Award nominated "ROCK OF AGES." For those of you not in the know, Rock of Ages is the new Broadway musical starring American Idol finalist Constantine Maroulis. Set in 1987 in a legendary Sunset Strip rock club, a small-town girl meets a big-city dreamer and they fall in love to the greatest metal songs of the 80's. The musical is an arena-rock love story told through the mind-blowing, face-melting hits of Journey, Bon Jovi, Styx, Reo Speedwagon, Pat Benatar, Foreigner, Twisted Sister, Poison, Asia, Whitesnake and more.

Here is a list of the different Tracks:
Just Like Paradise / Nothin' But A Good Time
Sister Christian
We Built This City / Too Much Time On My Hands
I Wanna Rock
We're Not Gonna Take It
Heaven/More Than Words / To Be With You
Waiting For A Girl Like You
Wanted Dead Or Alive
I Want To Know What Love Is
Cum On Feel The Noize / We're Not Gonna Take It (Reprise)
Harden My Heart / Shadows Of The Night
Here I Go Again
The Final Countdown
Any Way You Want It / I Wanna Rock (Reprise)
High Enough
I Hate Myself For Loving You / Heat Of The Moment
Hit Me With Your Best Shot
Can't Fight This Feeling
Every Rose Has Its Thorn
Oh Sherrie
The Search Is Over
Don't Stop Believin

I couldn't stop dancing around the house as this CD was playing. Dexter even got into it! I found myself saying, "Oh, I haven't heard this song in forever!"

If you want to enjoy this album, you can purchase it here ENJOY!

July is National Berry Month + GIVEAWAY

It may be nearing the end of July but here in Michigan, the berries are just now ready to be picked. July is National Berry Month and I have teamed up with Driscoll's to share with you some of the benefits of berries.

Dexter really loves blueberries and I can lure him to his highchair just by mentioning berries! He loves them. He is now a fan of raspberries and blackberries. I had to bite the berries in half in order to get him to taste their sweetness. He started by just licking them and looked at me like, "what?!" Too cute.

There are so many options when cooking with berries. You can make blueberry pancakes, smoothies or even this scrumptious goat cheese and strawberry bruschetta. I had a field day looking through all the recipes on Driscoll's website!!

Thanks to Driscoll's I will be able to buy a few extra pints of their luscious berries. They sent me a few coupons for $5 off their products!! I would love to give a few of my readers the opportunity to win one of these coupons too. All you have to do is head over to Driscoll's and find your favorite recipe. Come back here and tell me that recipe and you are entered! Three readers will each win a coupon good for $5 off a package of Driscoll's berries. That makes them better than free at Meijer!! Don't forget to include your email address along with your comment. GOOD LUCK!

YoBaby Yogurt Review and Giveaway

Ever since Dexter was able to eat solid foods he has always loved yogurt. I have made it my mission not to feed him anything with HFCS (High Fructose Corn Syrup) or any other artificial sweeteners. My yogurt selection is very skimpy, to say the least. I was familiar with Stonyfield Farms because I devoured YoMommy yogurt while I was pregnant. It was so delicious. When I saw the YoBaby, I knew it would be perfect for Dexter. Boy was I right. There is definitely no HFCS in this organic yogurt, just all natural quality ingredients!

The biggest factor though.....what did Dexter think? It was love at first bite. He has enjoyed the blueberry, peach, pear and apple yogurts for over a year now! YoBaby is all we buy. I was ecstatic to be able to review their yogurt. They sent me a couple of coupons for Dexter to try their yogurt and like I mentioned before---IT IS SO GOOD! I tried it myself and it is so creamy and dessert-like. You have to give it a quick stir because some of the milk fat settles on the top (and that in and of itself is reason enough to buy this awesome yogurt).

Dexter usually has no problems finishing off one of these yogurts by himself. He usually wants to feed himself too and that is messy but fun! At Meijer, a six-pack of this yogurt sells for about $3.59. I think that is a tremendous bargain not only because it is nutritious but because it also gives you peace of mind that are you feeding your child quality, natural ingredients simply and easily. You can head over to Stonyfield Farms' website and print off some coupons to save you money.

One lucky winner will receive 5 coupons each good for one FREE 6-pack of YoBaby yogurt. The winner will also receive a convenient bowl/lid and a baby bib. Check out the picture of the swag! I am mighty jealous!

In a comment tell me who will enjoy all the free yogurt and which YoBaby flavor the baby would like best.

Bake Me a Wish Review and Giveaway

It is no secret that I just turned 28 on 7/11. Wow, what a fun birthday I had. There were fireworks, great dinner, time with family and the most amazing cake ever!! I was lucky enough to have a cake sent to me from Bake Me a Wish. They sent me their Peanut Butter Mousse Cake and it was divine. You know when people claim to have a recipe for "Better than Sex Cake" and then you take a bite and wonder "I don't know what kind of sex you are having but this cake is not that good!"? Well, I will tell you that every single bite of this cake is amazing. Let me show you in a series of pictures just how awesome this cake is!!

I am not the biggest fan of cake and this Bake Me a Wish classic stole the show. I was enamored by the soft, rich peanut butter mousse. It was light, fluffy and decadent. The cake was super moist and their were peanuts and fudge covering the cake. The cake was also edged with fudge which put the cake over-the-top. I shared this confection with a few of my friends and the only response I got was "Oh My God!" and I would reply, "I know, right?!" Another added touch, which I found to be thoughtful, was a personalized birthday card from the lovely people at Bake Me a Wish.

How would you like the opportunity to win one of their delicious Triple Chocolate Enrobed Brownie Cakes? With shipping this is a $55 value!! Head over to Bake Me a Wish and tell me which cake you would most love to eat RIGHT NOW!! Please pick something different than the two I have mentioned. Leave me your email address along with your cake choice and I will pick the winner on August 5th at NOON EST.

Vroom Solo Review

There are two things in life that I absolutely detest. Mornings and Cleaning are those two things! If there was a list of chores, doing the dishes and lugging my vacuum around the house are tops. I no longer have to lug my vacuum around the house thanks to Vroom.

I never thought it was possible to really enjoy cleaning up messes. I also never thought that I would ever EVER want to show off my vacuum to my friends. I find myself saying "hey, check this out" to my friends when they come over and then I smile as they reply "no way, thats really a vacuum?!" Its cool. My husband and I had a hard time deciding where to put the Vroom once it arrived. I could put it upstairs but that would only tackle the bedrooms. I could put it in the kitchen or bathroom but those rooms rarely see the mess that my mudroom does.

My 2 dogs stay in the mudroom, which is adjacent to the laundry room and garage, when we are gone. There is always enough hair on the floor to crochet a scarf! It was an easy decision to install the Vroom in the mudroom closet. Look how nice it fits in my closet!

What I like most about the Vroom is that it is always available. All I have to do is open the closet door, grab the hose and Vroom. It is that easy. Another thing that impressed me about the Vroom, besides the fact that it is so compact, is the amount of suction that it creates. It is amazing. I have never felt such forceful suction from a vacuum before (let alone one with just a hose). Speaking of hoses, the Vroom's hose is 24 feet long and can easily reach into my garage and my laundry room. Vacuuming out the cars has never been easier!!

Ok, so now you are thinking that the Vroom is pretty cool. What if I told you that they make attachments that will even allow you to vacuum your dog!! OMG, how cool is that?! My dogs hate vacuums but I am pretty sure that I could wrangle them up long enough to blast some hair off of their coats! Think about it as never having to brush them again! Not a pet owner, how about an attachment that helps you vacuum your blinds!!

With Vroom the possibilities are endless. You can mop or vacuum your floors. You can brush your dog. You can clean your mini blinds and you can even remove lint or hair from virtually any surface.

Here are the specifics of the Vroom:
Power Unit
14.25” deep x 7.25” high x 10.375” wide

Hose Cabinet Sizes
For Kitchen-sized cabinets:
21.86” deep x
16.25” high x
3.25” wide, 24’ hose

For Bathroom-sized cabinets:
17.86” deep x
16.25” high x
3.25” wide, 18’ hose

Installation was a breeze. My oh-so-handy husband said that it took him a mere 25 minutes from box to complete install. The Vroom Solo comes with it's own power source so all you need to do is plug it in and you're cleaning. I would absolutely recommend this vacuum to anyone. It is so versatile and compact. It is there when you need it and hidden when you don't.

Head over to and enter to win a Vroom. You can also find a dealer near you!

5 Momifications We All Know and Love

I always make up new words. Sometimes it is to the point that my husband is driven crazy. Here are a few of my personal favorite. If you would like to visit to see theirs, click HERE

TheresSomethingAboutBaby-This term refers to all the breakfast, lunch or dinner that my little one rakes through his locks--constantly. "Oh, hes at it again, how am I going to clean the syrup out of his SomethingAboutBaby hair?!"

RunawayPoopies-Now that my son is old enough that his poops teeter on hard, I find more about more "rabbit poops" than ever before. Just recently he also started moving around a lot more during diaper changes which has let to more poopies rolling off the couch/changing table etc. "The next day I realized I was tired because Dexter found a RunawayPoopie from the day before!"

OneRingCircus-Before having children, bath time was a glorious occasion marked by bubbles and wine. Not so much anymore. "After having the baby and learning the importance of bathing myself once again, I found maneuvering the toys in the tub to be a OneRingCircus feat!"

On-the-go-show-My son cannot force himself to ride in the car (even 2 minutes down the road) without the DVD player on. "I joke to my husband that my Durango is now and On-the-go-show!"

Mamatuition-This is the keen sense of awareness that us Mamas possess. "My husband doesn't get it but I always know what is going on before anyone else does. That is because I have amazing Mamatuition."

How many of these can you relate to? Do you have your own to share? Leave a Momification of your own so that I can have a good laugh. Lord knows I need it! You can always head over to TwitterMoms to share your Momifications with them too!!! Click HERE for access :)

The Most Amazing Weekend!

I had such a blast hanging out with Dexter, my hubby and our friends! Here are a few fun pictures from our excursions. My MIL took Dexter overnight on Friday and we hit the town with four of our best friends. We had a great time. Jason and I went out in the Jeep for the afternoon on my actual birthday and we followed that with dinner at his parent's house and fireworks and cake at our house!! I can't wait to tell you all about my cake!!!

Me and Brea just getting on the road.....

Me and my Matron of Honor Wendy enjoying ourselves (pre Ellie Krieger) at Red Ginger

Because my husband is a photographer, we rarely get pictures of the two of us!

Good Thing I Took My Camera. He was embarrassed that I asked people to take our picture!

What a precious moment. I found Dexter with my niece Olivia. He was holding one of our wedding pictures. He kept saying Mama and then he would kiss me. Dada, and then he would kiss his Daddy. HOW PERFECT is he?!

Guess Who I Met

While I was out and about for my birthday, I ran into Ellie Krieger from the Food Network! How cool is that? She happened to be at one of my favorite restaurants in town, Red Ginger. I am so not into celeb gossip and crazy shinnanigans like that but I am obsessed with the food channel. It is always on in my house. I didn't bum rush her or anything--my friend did (unbeknownst to me) She was like, "its my friend's birthday and she loves your show. Would you mind getting a picture with her?" (I am so glad I said, "Oh that was Ellie Krieger we saw as we were walking up from the bathroom!)

Up walks Ellie, and I almost fainted. I was sooooo sunburned, thank goodness she was so sweet.

Busy Weekend

I don't think that I always realize how much I sign myself up for until it starts falling on me. This week is going to be insane and I will not be online as much as I would like. I am going to be working for EcoStore USA at the National Cherry Festival. Saturday is my birthday and I am so excited! I will be posting lots of pictures of the festival and birthday celebration!

Thanks for being patient! I will be posting several fun giveaways soon, including UV Skinz, Southern Brand and YoBaby!
