Well I won't pretend to know exactly how it feels since I've never had children, but my cousin has four (and "not preventing #5). They said they just love how all of their children are never lonely- they always have someone else to play with. They are between the ages of 5 and 2 so they are close enough in age that they have similar interests.
I'm sure kids can get a great amount of interaction from their parents, but there's nothing like wrestling with your brother or playing games with your sister. I grew up with my extended family and loved having so many play-mates built into my life, especially when I was younger before I could leave and go over to a friend's house on my own.
So I think a sibling is just as much for the older child as it is for you. :)
There are a bunch of toys I've been eyeing up on the site. Who needs a special occasion to try something new!
