Butterball Flash Giveaway Ends 11/14

For the last few years Super Savvy Mommy, with the help from Butterball, have been giving away a free turkey to someone who truly deserves it.  I know we don't have much time to waste this year so I will take nominations for one until November 14th.

This year, thanks to Butterball, I am able to provide turkeys to a few local families who most deserve it.  One woman is a 39 year old single Mom of a two year old little boy.  A couple of months ago she was diagnosed with 4th stage colon cancer.  This cancer has since spread to her liver and the tumors are inoperable.  I have teamed up with some of my friends and family who have sent donations to give to her and I am happy to say that her entire Thanksgiving will be paid for plus a little extra for diapers for the baby.  I love the generosity in people's hearts and I am proud to be able to help others who need it most.

I want to keep this simple.  Tell me someone that you feels deserves a free Butterball turkey for Thanksgiving.  I will choose two lucky recipients and I will send them out 11/14 to ensure delivery in time for Thanksgiving.  What is Thanksgiving if not for helping those less fortunate than we are?

Comment below and Thank you for Showing YOU care!  You can also head over to Butterball's Wall and thank them for spreading the holiday love!

My Mom defiantly deserves a free turkey. The last few years have been rough, and through it all she holds her head high and does the best with what she has.

I nominate my Daughter and Son in Law Linda & Tim B.They worked most of their life with developmentally disabled and troubled teens, but the last 2 years have lived on $1045 a month, no Medical insurance. Neither can physically work, (they are only in their 40s) They are both disabled My daughter is type 1 diabetic for 37 yrs, has all the complications and then 2 yrs ago severed her back bones at work. She has had over 5 surgeries in the last 2 yr for all kinds of health issues and now her liver is failing. Then a yr ago her husband found out he has Parkinson, he is progressing fast. They never complain to people( I make her tell me all lol) and the last 2 years they have had Thanksgiving and Christmas at their place for friends that have nowhere to go for the holiday. Even with all this hardship they are giving to others. Thank you so much for listening. bettyburmeister@gmail.com

A friend of mine and fellow army wife has a little boy that was diagnosed with terminal illness this summer, she has 4 other young children at home as well. Money is tight because of the medical expenses and being on an enlisted soldier's income. I know she would be very grateful for the help during the holidays.

My mom...she has struggled all her life. She has fibromyalgia & arthritis but still at age 65 goes to work as a hairdresser every day. Her husband also in bad shape, goes to work as a mover everyday. Without both their incomes they are unable to pay the rent. My mom just wants a nice turkey dinner for her & her husband & this would be one way to make her feel special.

My mom deserves a free turkey. She always goes out of her way to help others in need. Yesterday she helped put on a program to honor the veterans. I'd love to honor her in this way. jj250@aol.com

I nominate my Mom and Dad Betty & Keith B. Two years ago my Dad's plant closed. They then in turn lost the house and had to file bankruptcy. It was so heart breaking to lose everything they worked so hard for and what they didnt lose they sold. Now they live far away from me in a Mobile home. My Dad now works over an hr away from their place. My Mom had open heart surgery, she was born with a heart defect and had to get it fixed, mind you she was in her 60s before she did anything, She had to wait she said till she could take off of work... well now she is retired. She also has Macular Degeneration (dry) she is almost blind. So she uses everything that is bigger or magnifying glasses. She is such a strong woman, never complains or gives up she is alway doing something at home and always has my back as I do hers!!! My parents are the best. (just a little closer to my Mom !!!) The last two years they had chicken instead of turkey cause the chicken was cheaper to buy. It would make my Thanksgiving and theirs If they had a Turkey for Thanksgiving this year. Thank you, everythinghappensforareason65@gmail.com

My daughter, she just moved upstairs from me and has hardly anything. She moved here from being away for 10 years, having come back over 1500 miles. So,she had to leave all her things behind. Her and the kids could really use this.

Thanks so much for the chance!
