American Pickers and Dual Survivor

I have been thoroughly enjoying watching Animal Planet and History Channel lately.  NEW SHOWS to enjoy!  I love Greys Anatomy, Dexter and White Collar so who doesn't want a little variety?

One of my favorite shows on the History Channel is American Pickers.  American Pickers personifies everything that is good and holy in America....Americana history.  Mike and Frank drive around the country "picking" through people's stuff to find treasure!  LOVE LOVE LOVE it!

I have seen the duo uncover vintage signs, machines, robots, various chests of drawers and a ton of other neat things.  Honestly, every time I watch all I can think about is rummaging through my Grandparent's basement looking for the next big score.  How cool would that be?  I know there has to be some awesome "junk" down there to explore.

Lets now talk about Dual Survivor.  Have you ever seen that show?  Dave and Cody trek through waters, deserts, jungles and frozen tundra.  They show their audience situations that would be common for average people to fall into.  Since they are survival experts they portray an amazing variety of skills that are easily learned.  I have learned how to tie various knots, boil water with hot rocks and cauterize wounds.

No matter what you enjoy watching I would highly recommend both of these shows to you.  My husband and I love fantasizing over big finds and remote trips through the jungle.

Fisher Price Apptivity saves the day

Now I know what you're thinking after reading about my unfortunate iPhone conundrum
...how do I keep Oliver's iphone and Dexter's iPad safe?  Thats an easy one!

Fisher Price makes Apptivity cases to keep little kids' Apple devices safe.  Safe from drool, bites and unwanted calls!  So it seems too good to be true but it is true!

Isn't Oliver becoming quite the little man?  He is sooo cute!  He is also pretty destructive but now I don't have to worry because Apptivity has him (and his iPhone) covered.  It sells for $15

Dexter being 4 1/2 LOVES his iPad and now he thinks that this case is "super cool".  How could you argue with the fact that he loves it and it is VERY sturdy and protective?

Sells for $35

Would you like to win both of these cases?  One winner will win the iPhone case and another winner will receive the iPad case!  Enter the Rafflecopter below

iPhone Death Times Two

I am a MAC ADDICT!  I have an 27" iMac, iPhone, iPad and a iBook.  My husband has an iPhone and iPad and Dexter, my 4 year old has an iPad.  Don't forget Oliver, the 20 month old and his original iPhone.  Yes, I know...its insane.

What is more insane than that?  Last week, while grocery shopping, Oliver leaned over and grabbed my iPhone out of my purse and he threw it to the floor (while wearing a Speck iCandy case) and it SHATTERED!  I sat there crying in Meijer because honestly, that is the last thing I needed at that point.  HAPPY MONDAY to me!  I had to get a new iPhone 4S (big bummer eh?!)

Fast forward to yesterday, my 31st birthday.  At the end of the evening, my phone decided to go swimming in my water glass (for about 5 seconds) while wearing an Otter box Defender (which I just bought and HATE!)

I need help!  I need it fast!  TWO iPhones in less than 2 weeks!  I simply cannot afford to be unprotected from here on out.

What awesome case do you use and recommend?

Week 3 Update

I am so proud to say that I have been rocking the Cinch program for three weeks now!  I almost didn't weigh myself on Monday because its that time of the month and I didn't want to be all bummed out because I always gain a good 3-5 pounds.  Lucky for me, I didn't gain (or lose a pound) so hopefully that means I actually lost 3-5 before Aunt Flo showed up.  I'll know soon enough.

So far, shakes for breakfast and lunch and a healthy dinner.  I can eat a steak and baked potato along with veggies and still lose weight!  The key is to workout!  I have been doing my Kettleworx videos that I ADORE and they are so effective!  I am sore just typing this.  I can see my shorts getting really loose and my arms are tightening up!  I am Cinching-it and Loving it!

Cinch Update Week 2

I just finished week two of the Shaklee #Cinchspiration challenge and boy I can't tell you how great I feel.  I am energized, I am refreshed and I am renewed (in spirit and wellness).  Lets cut to the chase...

In the last two weeks I have lost a whooping 12 pounds, 7.5 total inches, I have lost nearly 3% of fat and increased my muscle mass by .7%

How amazing is that?  I am Cinching it and losing fat, not muscle!

I also just finished the "I See Fit People" 1000 squat challenge.  I completed 1000 squats last week which equals about 143 each day.  Let me tell you, the first two days were grueling.  They were hard.  I sweat and I whined but by Sunday, I was knocking em back like a CHAMP....so much so that I lost 1" off each thigh!!  WOWzers!
