WOW, Can you even believe that it has been almost a year since I started my journey with Shaklee 180™? It is unbelievable to me that over the past 10 months, I have lost 40 pounds*, made a ton of friends and have lost over 45 inches (47.25 to be exact)!!
Well, you know that in February I got the amazing news that I won the Shaklee 180™ Blog Spokesperson Contract, well today, with the help of Shaklee 180™ I am well on my way to skinny Mommy. I want to be the Mom on the playground that other Moms secretly hate because I look like "she never works out and she eats what she wants". I want them to ask me my secret so I can tell them that I eat two Shaklee Smoothees a day!
I made myself a promise. When I was in my Cinchspiration Blogger Challenge, I was obsessed with weighing myself. I would do it first thing in the morning, naked, every.single.morning. It was not a good thing because I would beat myself up over every ounce. The truth is, I was losing weight and inches and I felt great but I was unrealistically wanting to lose weight over night. Who wouldn't like that eh?! *Well, I promised myself this year that I was going to throw away my scale and focus on being healthy.
This mantra is really smart and really practical. It speaks to me and I think it will speak to you too. I see this to be realistic. It means if you are eating well and being active, you don't need to step on a scale in order to be happy. Once your pants are loose and your collar bones are sticking out more, we will start to feel better and more alive.
I love myself and it has taken me a long time to say and feel that way. Everyday I choose to take care of my needs and I choose to put my health first. When Mom is unhealthy, no one else can be properly cared for. I want you to remember that because I find it to be absolutely true.
Each day I am drinking my favorite breakfast smoothee (frozen cherries, Shaklee 180™ Vanilla Smoothee Mix, a dash of almond extract and low fat milk) and I am enjoying a smoothee or meal bar for lunch. I work out now, more than ever, and I enjoy it! Thats something! I have been doing the Tracy Anderson arm workout every day and I just started a HIIT squat challenge! WHOA! I am feeling great, looking better and my skin is radiating!
Here I am last week in the GAP dressing room. I use to hate shopping for clothing when I was buying a size 20 pant and XXL tops! It was hard to want to dress cute because I felt so uncute. In this picture, I am wearing a size 16 pant (they are big but I am not quite to the 14 yet) and a size Large top! I haven't worn a large since before I had Dexter! 5 freaking years!
