Back to School with Kroger

It is time to start thinking about back to school lunches. I have been busy experimenting on my family to come up with easy and delicious solutions that will please the kids while offering them the fuel they need to finish out the day and concentrate on their studies. Kroger is taking some of the stress out of packing lunches by offering everything I need at great prices in one place. Shopping at Kroger helps me save time, as I don't have to stop at several stores to get everything on my list and I am saving money on groceries too, which is a win-win in any situation.

My son loves pizza. He would eat it everyday if given the choice. I came up with a great recipe to satisfy his love of pizza and my need for a yummy and simple lunch. I started off with Kroger pre-sliced pepperoni, aloutte spreadable cheese in single serve portions, Italian Herb flavor and a Kroger soft tortilla.

Spread the aloutte soft spreadable cheese on the soft tortilla. Place about 10 slices of pepperoni on the tortilla. Roll the tortilla up and slice it into small portions. Serve it with a side of pizza sauce for dipping. Pair this yummy roll up with a fruit such as a banana or a bunch of grapes, a yogurt and a juice box for a healthy, satisfying lunch that won't break the bank.

The total cost for making pizza roll ups is 90 cents per serving and you can make this lunch 8 times with all of the ingredients! My family loves wraps and roll ups. They are easy to make and eat and they taste great. We fall back on roll ups and wraps quite often for lunch as they satisfy everyone and they can be completed within a few moments time.

Roast Beef and Cheddar Roll Ups are a favorite in my home and a go to school lunch idea. This recipe is super easy and very inexpensive to make! Start with a soft tortilla, a single serve portion of aloutte spreadable cheese in Sharp Cheddar flavor and 1 ounce of Oscar Meyer Deli Fresh Roast Beef. Roll it up and slice it in half, or you can cut it into smaller rolls. Serve with a Greek yogurt tube and a clementine for a yummy lunch that offers something sweet, something hearty and something healthy and delicious for growing bodies. This lunch can be made for a total of  $1.50.

My final lunch idea for the new school year is as easy as it is delicious.  Kidfresh makes meals that appeal to kids and parents alike. Kids love the taste and parents love that they have hidden veggies inside. I always keep a few froen Kidfresh meals on hand for a quick option, because face it, there are times when Mom doesn't have a moment to prepare a lunch, but your kids won't have to fall back on empty calories with a Kidfresh meal. Pair up Muy Cheesy Quesadillas with a pudding cup, a banana and a bottle of water for a satisfying lunch everyone can feel good about. The total cost for this lunch is $3.25.

I hope my back to school lunch ideas help you save time and money while offering your children something delicious to nourish their growing bodies and brains this school year. Don't forget that Kroger offers many great products for packing a healthy and affordable back to school lunch.

To visit back home to be honest. Grandpa's just found out that the cancer we thought was gone has spread and I'd love to help load up his favorite yogurt in the fridge to help out.
