iMommy App Review

My kids are digital kids.  Dexter got his first iPad a few months before his 3rd birthday.  I honestly don't know what I would do on all of our travels without the boys' iPads.  They have a slew of apps and they like each one for different reasons.  Since they are at such different stages of development, very rarely do I find apps that they both enjoy.

Oliver, being only 4, loves the color pink, playing with girls and he especially loves babies.  When I was first introduced to iMommy I knew right away that Oliver would enjoy this app!  I gave him my phone and asked him to play with it for a few minutes {because lets face it, I can't be away from my lifeline phone for longer than that!}  I went on to do a few chores around the house and it wasn't long until I heard giggling coming from the couch.  I looked over and I asked Oliver what was so funny and he said "I made my baby pink all over!" Sure enough, pink romper, pink haired baby was sitting in a highchair ready to have Oliver feed her!

As I got more done around the house I lost track of time but I knew Oliver had been on my phone, quietly {except lots of giggles} for nearly 20 minutes!  It wasn't until I heard Dexter start yelling to let him have a turn with the game!  How's that for a 7.5 year old macho boy?  Truth be told, Dexter enjoyed the app but had the most fun changing baby's diaper.  Come on now, who wouldn't find making farting noises on an app fun?

iMommy baby making music! That was one of Mommy and Oliver's
favorite activities!

iMommy rocking baby to sleep. Oliver loved the songs played on the mobile!

As I am sitting here writing this Oliver came over to me, grabbed my phone and asked to play iMommy again.  Seconds later I heard, "oh no, baby pooped in her diaper again!  Our neighbors are gonna think we have a baby in the house but its just a game!"

What Super Savvy Mommy loves about iMommy:
  • Interactive and simple graphics allow children to engage without overstimulation
  • Options: there are literally hundreds of ways to play with baby in many different scenarios. This helps kids not get bored too quickly. With 30 rooms available, who can get bored with that?
  • Teaches colors: you can choose your baby's skin, hair, eye and clothing color! Parents can ask their children to choose a certain color for baby's clothing, for example to teach color recognition and their ability to follow instructions.
  • Responsibility: Your child cares for and helps feed, play, and change baby as well as take baby on outings and clean up after baby.

What Super Sassy Kids love about iMommy:
  • "I can change baby's diapers and make her fart!"
  • "I can go to the beach with my baby and make the bird scare her!"
  • "The music in the crib makes baby happy"
  • "This is so much fun!"
{What do you expect from a 4 year old?}

Overall I am very pleased with all aspects of iMommy.  I even had a great time going throughout the rooms and playing with baby.  There are so many things that you can do that it really is endless amounts of fun!
